Since 1994, Jennifer Harris’ poetry has appeared in numerous national literary magazines including multiple publications in the New York Quarterly, Fish Stories, and HLLQ. Her first novel, PINK, was published in January 2007 by Haworth Press. She received her MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and her BA from The University of Arizona.

Elizabeth Bagby is a Chicago writer, actor, and musician. She is a founding member of Sansculottes Theater Company, who produced her musical Practical Anatomy at the Storefront Theater last year. Nairobi | Fall 2007

Wairimu Waithaka is a soon to be graduate of the University of Nairobi’s School of Medicine. A student of the universe, her stories are based on life experiences seen through her eyes and those of others. ‘Kamikaze Soul’ is her first, mature (hopefully so) piece, only recently completed because after writing the first paragraph, “I got writer’s block until five or so years later”. It is a life story told in three pages. Her other piece, ‘The Mist’ is a mystery laced with subtle comedy; “I like to mix things that conventionally shouldn’t be together, like jam and ham”.
