Eugene Cross

Eugene Cross is the author of the short story collection Fires of Our Choosing, which was long-listed for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. His stories have appeared in Narrative magazine, which named him one of “20 Best New Writers” and selected his story “Harvesters” as a “Top Five Story of 2009-10; American Short Fiction; StoryQuarterly; TriQuarterly and Callaloo, among other publications. His work was also listed among Best American Short Stories’ 2010’s 100 Distinguished Stories. Lauryn Allison Lewis

Lauryn Allison Lewis writes fiction, essays, interviews and reviews of all sorts. She is the senior managing editor at Curbside Splendor Publishing, and an assistant editor at Barrelhouse Magazine. Her novella, Solo/Down, was recently published by The Chicago Center for Literature and Photography, and her debut novel, The Beauties, is forthcoming from Silverthought Press in 2013.

Megan Stielstra

Megan Stielstra is the literary director of 2nd Story and co-editor of their forthcoming print anthology, Briefly Knocked Unconscious by a Low-Flying Duck: Stories from 2nd Story (Elephant Rock Books, 2012). She’s told stories for The Goodman Theater, Steppenwolf, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Poetry Center, Story Week, Wordstock, The Neo-Futurarium, Victory Gardens, Theater on the Lake and Chicago Public Radio, among others, and is a regular performer with 2nd Story, The Paper Machete and Write Club.
