Beyond the fact that I am very pleased you and your wife survived, when many did not, what I find best in your writing is the personal moments.

The moments that I "can see happening" when I read your account. The moments and conversations you are having with your wife. These are the best parts of your piece because as I get older I more and more realize that moments we spend with our loved ones are the best ones.

The way you described how terrifying the experience was, really provided for me a connection to you and your wife and it was as though I was there with you, in some way. And not half a world away celebrating my 46th birthday on December 26th and watching the whole situation unfold on CNN.

So, again, I am pleased that you were able to survive to tell your story. Thank you for sharing it hear with the world.
