Literary stars are shining on the Sunshine State! Sunday Salon Ft. Lauderdale is excited to welcome two more wondrous writers to the stage for the second installment of its already awe-inspiring series. The event will be sponsored by Burrow Press. Jeff Parker is the author of several books including Where Bears Roam the Streets: A Russian Journal (Harper Collins), the novel Ovenman (Tin House), and the short story collection The Taste of Penny (Dzanc). He co-edited the anthologies Rasskazy: New Fiction from a New Russia (Tin House) and Amerika: Russian Writers View the United States (Dalkey Archive). He also co-translated the novel Sankya (Dzanc) by Zakhar Prilepin from the Russian. He is the Director of the DISQUIET International Literary Program in Lisbon, and he teaches in the MFA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Shane Hinton holds an MFA from the University of Tampa. He is the author of the debut story collection, Pinkies, and his fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Word Riot, The Butter, The Nervous Breakdown, storySouth, Dead Mule School, Atticus Review & elsewhere. He lives in the winter strawberry capital of the world.
